Pastor Kevin will have the privilege of speaking at the spring Men’s Retreat at Camp Barakel, May 15-17, 2015. If you would like to attend this refreshing get-a-way in northern Michigan you can find more information here and register online here. High school seniors and older are invited to this Retreat.
Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though He was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but made Himself nothing, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. –Philippians 2:5-7
We believe the Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritative written Word of God. We trust April’s Scripture focus passage will encourage and challenge you to commit God’s Word to memory that you might be changed and equipped by it.

You’re invited to join us for this very special evening.
Hear three dads share their insights and stories about navigating the waters of relationships that ultimately led to marriage for their children.
In March we enter chapter 5 of Hebrews as we continue our look at this powerful portion of the Bible that shows us clearly that Jesus is better than all. Invite your friends to be your guests this month as we encourage one another with these words from The Word…
Although he was a son, He learned obedience through what He suffered. And being made perfect, He became the source of eternal salvation to all who obey Him. -Hebrews 5:8-9

We’ll gather this Sunday, Lord willing, to study the last three verses of Hebrews 4. Come join us for our Sunday morning worship service at 10:45 AM as we praise God together for our great High Priest, the Lord Jesus Christ.
For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin. -Hebrews 4:15
Need a night out? With children this can be difficult, thankfully the Sr. High Youth Group has a solution. On February 28th from 6-8pm, they will bless us with childcare services for all those from birth to 5th grade here at the church. Please register your children at the table in the foyer so we know how many to expect. The cost is free, however donations are encouraged to help support the youth groups summer activities. Please feed your children dinner first as only snacks will be provided. If you have any further questions contact Brian and Amy Bailey or Joel Papenfus.
This Sunday we enter chapter 4 of Hebrews. Lord willing, sometime February, as we continue our series in Hebrews, we’ll reach Hebrews 4:12. This passage is a powerful reminder of why we preach, why we proclaim the Scriptures each Sunday and why we are to shape the ministry of First Baptist Church with the Word of God.
For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. -Hebrews 4:12

Join us and bring a friend Sunday January 25, as we move in our study to Hebrews 3:7-19. Read the passage and ask God to prepare you to study His Word together.
But exhort one another every day, as long as it is called “today,” that none of you may be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin. -Hebrews 3:13
