This Sunday we enter chapter 4 of Hebrews. Lord willing, sometime February, as we continue our series in Hebrews, we’ll reach Hebrews 4:12. This passage is a powerful reminder of why we preach, why we proclaim the Scriptures each Sunday and why we are to shape the ministry of First Baptist Church with the Word of God.
For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. -Hebrews 4:12
We believe the Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritative written Word of God. We trust February’s Scripture passage will encourage and challenge you to commit God’s Word to memory that you might be changed and equipped by it.

We have the privilege of hosting the Mobile Food Pantry here on Saturday, March 14th. We are looking for team members from First Baptist Church to help unload the food truck and pass out food to those that come, either by handing out the food or by pushing carts. If you are available, please plan to be at the church from 9 AM — 12 PM on March 14th and check in at the volunteer table. If you have any questions please see Brian or Amy Bailey.
